A journey through the town’s history
Herzogenaurach has more than 1000 years of rich history and in the past has been ruled by the most notable lords; it has endured war, the Protestant Reformation and the spread of the Black Death. But no matter what happened the people of Herzogenaurach rolled up their sleeves and made the best of the situation. Today, the town is world-famous thanks to its masterminds the Dassler and Schaeffler brothers; Rudolf and Adolf Dassler, and Wilhelm and Georg Schaeffler, and is built upon a deep-rooted history. This guided walk will take you on a journey back to the very beginnings of the town and will give you an insight into all the town has had to face! Come with us on this journey and perhaps you will be surprised!
